Breathtaking safaris, evenings by an open fire and making a difference in the world
This is one wild African adventure!

Home to the Masai Mara and the Great Migration, Kenya is one of Africa’s best safari destinations. Kenyan safaris were also the inspiration behind Walt Disney’s 1994 blockbuster, “The Lion King”, so we hope you’re ready for a few childhoodflashbacks and an epic adventure.

Taking our knowledge from more than 10 years travelling, volunteering and living in East Africa, Adventure Out Loud has hand-crafted this adventure to ensure you get to explore Africa’s most exciting safari destinations while making a positive difference in the world by sponsoring disadvantaged students through school.

  • Go BIG 5 spotting in Kenya’s best safari parks
  • Fundraise to educate disadvantaged students through school
  • Meet your sponsor student and their family
  • Star gaze and swap stories around an open fire at a private safari camp
  • Pat baby elephants and hand-feed giraffes
  • Explore Kibera, Africa’s largest slum
  • Learn to cook a traditional Kenyan feast

This is a private adventure that is available all year although the best time to witness the Great Migration in the Masai Mara is between July & September. Contact a safari expert today to discuss your next wild adventure or click here to book in a free 30-min consultation!

Make a difference
Sponsor a disadvantaged student as part of your adventure.

111 million African children didn’t go to school in 2017. We’re not ok with this and we’re doing something about it!

With 47% of Africa’s population living below the poverty line, sponsoring a disadvantaged child through school is one of the best ways to fight poverty. Education empowers children to change their circumstances while educated women have fewer babies, a significant problem in Africa where birth rates are double the world average.

For less than $20 a week, you can make a real difference during your adventure. Simply tick the sponsor box when you register and we’ll send you a profile for a student who is looking for a sponsor.

Is Kenya safe?

Yes. Kenyans love visitors and most will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It is extremely rare for anything bad to happen within Kenya’s national parks and we will not be travelling to the border regions where the Australian Government advises not to travel.

As with all travel, your biggest risk is being robbed or having a road accident. Travelling in a small group, avoiding popular tourist areas, travelling with reputable companies and having our experienced tour leaders and local team with you 24/7 significantly reduces these risks. See SmartTraveller or talk to our team for further travel advice.

Do I have to sponsor?

No. We highly recommend you do because sponsoring a disadvantaged student through school is one of the best ways to empower them to change their life and to fight poverty. It also enhances your travel experience more than you could imagine. We do however understand that sponsoring is not for everyone so while it is recommended it is not mandatory.

  • “The best 3 weeks of amazing adventure I have ever had.”

  • “You come with preconceptions and leave with perspective.”

  • “I would have gladly paid double once I’d experienced the tour AOL organised for us.”

  • “The most inspiring and authentic 2 weeks of my life.”

  • “The mountain is indescribable; best thing I’ve done in my life.”
