Today we hand-feed the majestic giraffes at the amazing Nairobi Giraffe Centre before playing with the cutest baby elephants at the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Beware of the bonus shower!
After lunch, be inspired by Thomas Nyawir and his incredible Mirror of Hope Team.
Explore the sights and sounds of Africa’s largest urban slum under the safe guidance of the Mirror of Hope team. Visit the home of your sponsor student and feast on a delicious traditional Kenyan lunch that you will learn to cook.
6:30am departure for Arusha, Tanzania. Arrive at The School of St Jude, check in to your room and take a brief tour before feasting at Khan’s BBQ; mechanic by day, BBQ specialist by night.
Tour the life-changing School of St Jude, read with the students in the library, participate in a weekly assembly, visit the home of one of the Adventure Out Loud’s sponsor students and enjoy a cold beverage at a local watering hole.
Explore the bustling Arusha, Tanzania’s 3rd largest city. Wander the lively streets, try your hand at bartering and eat lunch with the locals before an afternoon volunteering with Africa Moja, a youth movement empowering young Tanzania’s to solve the issues that they face each day.
Rest and travel to Moshi, home to Mt Kilimanjaro and the Kilimanjaro Marathon. Drive the full course.
Marathon race day (half marathon and 5km race also on this day).
Nestled in a small forest in the middle of a desert, 2 hours from Moshi is a magical hot spring oasis called Maji Moto. Today this is your playground and an opportunity to relax and swim in these pristine waters.
Rest and Kilimanjaro preparation day. Travel to Moshi in the afternoon.

After collecting the goat you will give as a present, we drive to the Maasai Boma where you will live, eat, play and celebrate with this historic tribe for the next 24 hours. Join them in song, dance, traditional beading and other customary activities before experiencing the unimaginable event of a traditional Maasai wedding.
Accommodation is in tents, Maasai huts occassionally available upon request.
Enjoy a relaxing morning with your new Maasai family before driving to Tarangire National Park for an afternoon safari drive.
Located just 2 hours from Arusha, Tarangire is famous for the thousands of elephants who call the park home. With the exception of the Rhino, it is possible to see all of the exotic African animals in Tarangire including lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra and warthog. Tarangire is also famous for the hundreds of Baobab trees that are scattered throughout this 2,850 km² national park.

Ngorongoro Crater is the largest un-broken, un-flooded caldera in the world. Surrounding by 600m high walls and year-around home to every African animal imaginable, the Ngorongoro Crater is often described as “Africa’s Garden of Eden”. It is also one of Africa’s 7 natural wonders.
Afternoon drive back to Arusha followed by a traditional celebration dinner.
